[de]gradation
Informed by phenomology and the lived experience of deformity,
[de]gradation
is a participatory and explicitly relational work. A violent denial of the audience-performer barrier, using everything from shouting to stillness to explore what it means to exist as beings in a state of constant change.
This piece featured a mix of set choreography and score based improvisation. It was performed during the rave Riposte, and utilises this mixed use space to its fullest extent, allowing for the performes to remain in relation to themselves, each other, the space, the rave, and the audience.
